what's the 411?

if you follow me on twitter, you've probably figured it out... yes, yes, 26er and i are "together"

we had the "talk" just short of 2 weeks ago and at the end of it, i thought we were "seeing" each other. little did i know at the time that "seeing" to him means we're bf & gf. LOL! guess i'm in a relationship then!

don't worry. i wasn't tricked into being his gf. i genuinely like the guy. a lot. he makes me happy and just the thought of him does. but is it bad i still have feelings for my ex? if my ex were to ask me back today, i would definitely say "NO". but if he had a million dollars attached to him, i might change my mind. i imagine the begging would go something like this...

him: "i've been thinking about you for quite some time and no matter who i date, i still can't get you off my mind. can you please reconsider our decision to not be together anymore? i miss you so much and i now realize you're my match and the only one i can truly see myself with."

me: "hmmmmmm... no. i don't think so..."

him: "but Maur, how bout if i give you a million dollars right now? would you consider getting back with me?"

me: "let me see the cash."

him: "here it is. all in this bag." he proceeds to open the bag and show me.

me: grabs the bag. "okay, i'll think about it."

here are the facts:
  • 26er is my bf and i want to be with him.
  • i still have feelings for my ex, but given the chance, i would not get back with him.

question:
is it wrong to be in a relationship with 26er?

another fact... my relationship with 26er is complicated. not because of "us", but because of the circumstances. unfortunately, we have to be careful about who knows about us and where we go because we have to avoid certain people seeing us together. and if i was still on facebook, we would not be able to be open about us. which means no photo posting of us, no status updates involving what we do plus i wouldn't be able to befriend his friends. i'm not gonna lie, that sucks. thankfully, i'm not on fbook anymore.

and his age... he's considerably younger than me. being with him is what i may want right now, but realistically, am i wasting my time? what do you think?

maur, to be quite honest, i think only time will tell. you may know the answers right now, but things change. this can be something that's good for you. if it doesn't turn out that way, well, lesson learned, right? this is a year that's about you. it is most definitely normal to question yourself, decisions and motives - but too much questioning can sometimes lead to limiting our life experiences. i say, roll with the punches, whatever happens ... happens. i'm all ears for the ride, even if we are miles apart. just sayin'.

Woo! Love how you've taken this step with 26er. Why? Because Life and Love is about taking risks - cheesy sounding, I know but you ain't living it without these ups and downs.

So true - no way to know how this will turn out, but I can tell you that regretting to not try something is a feeling that would leave you worse off. My opinion of course, I'm just sayin ..

First off, congrats! Yay, to having a boyfriend!!

I don't think its bad that you still have feelings for your ex. Don't we all. AT least you are true to your feelings. You said it yourself, if your ex was to ask you back out, (minus the million dollars...lol) you would say no. So, that must count for something, right?

That sucks about hiding. I had to do that for one of my relationships and let me tell you something...it was exhausting. And in the end, that was one of the reason why we broke up. I say, come out in the open....just bite the bullet. Trust me, if I could go back and do it all over again, I wouldn't hide.

Age is nothing, but a number. Forget about it....in the end, LOVE is most important thing. Plus, if Men can date younger women, then we can do it too.

But don't listen to me, do what feels right in your heart!

If he makes you happy, that's all that matters. Don't worry about the future or "what if's" because life is too short for that. Your happiness is the most important thing so if he is making you happy right now, then that's all that counts. Pay no mind to people who say this and that - people will always have their opinions so give 'em something to talk about! :D
