i'm not gonna lie. play me!

lately the tone of my blog has been sad and blah.
so to change it up, let's focus on a couple of positives!

i'm not gonna lie, work is going spectacularly right now! i've been blessed with great opportunities without asking for it. i have colleagues and management that appreciate my work and acknowledge the fabulous work i do! i'll be staying with my company for at least another 8 months with a little more money handed to me on a silver platter plus i have the possibility of starting a permanent new role.

thank goodness at least i have work going for me.

i'm not gonna lie, i'm currently in the best physical shape i have ever been in my life (especially at my tender old age). the next dude that gets to sleep with me is in for a treat! hehe. 

at least i'm happy with my body. haha.

so i don't know about you, but music (and beer LOL) is my saviour! therefore, i wanted to share some music i love. enjoy!

that vegas feeling!

i'm not gonna lie, life's been pretty difficult lately. and with that, i'm on a mission to turn my frown upside down and absorb my life with all things happy! WOOT WOOT!

first happy thought that comes to mind is VEGAS BABY! if you often visit my blog then you know Vegas is almost around the corner, 37 days away from today to be exact.

this Vegas trip is a blogger travel meet up, an epic 35th birthday celebration for 2 of us and a let loose kind of trip! the group of us are better known for our self-proclaimed name - ASIAN SENSATION!

not only do we have a banner, Leesh also created a AS2011 LV cd to hype us and get us into the sin city mood! mission accomplished Leesh! i'm so loving the compilation and can't stop listening to it.

music compilations bring me back to the day in high school when i used create cds for my friends and as an added bonus i would list the songs on the jacket to tell a story by adding my own words and bolding the song titles.

so in honour of Vegas, here's a pull of lyrics from the songs (in order) on our AS2011 LV cd and how the vibe of our Vegas trip will probably be!

here's what i've been wanting more and more of lately!

the oreos in the middle!

Leeshi received all the above Oreos from her mom and she was so kind to share with me. now my fave packaged cookies are PB oreos. unfortunately, they are NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA. so someone please send me a bunch my way and i'll love you forever and ever and EVER! personally email me at maureen.par@gmail.com and let me know you'll hook me up. i'll respond with so much thankfulness and my home address. hehe.

this workout class, Body Jam! 

it's a dance inspired workout that makes you sweat, burn tons of calories while having too much fun. you won't even realize you're working your body to the bone! this class literally makes me want to work out ALL THE TIME! now, i'm a Body Jam connoisseur and search all over GTA (the greater Toronto area) looking for a jam class to hit every night! i'd rather jam than drink beer! what the eff?!

*phew* was a little scared that the day i would have to log my ipod shuffle playlist would be the day a bunch of crappy songs would play back-to-back. but i'd say the randomness above is alright. i have had better, but i have had definitely worse. to be honest, i just started using the shuffle feature on my ipod a month ago. normally, i play music according to my moods, but lately i allow my ipod to randomly set the mood of the start of each work day. funny how such a simple change can make a huge difference on how the day plays.
