something sad. something happy.

i know. i know. i know i've been MIA. and even after this post, i'll probably be MIA again for quite some time. i'm really not in the mood to be social even if it's only online. the only thing i crave to do is GET DRUNK with friends that don't know me well, acquaintances or new friends.

i apologize to my good friends... i don't want to see you or really talk to you right now.

anyway, on that pathetic note, i thought i'd brighten the mood with some pics from my NYC trip in early September. it's the last time i recall being truly happy. it was my best NYC trip ever!

Cris, Iris, Bari and Shauna, thank you for making every NYC moment so memorable! LOVE YOU!

NYE deets

i opted to be on my own for NYE. i didn't want to deal with the pressure of being around my close friends... (not sure if that makes any sense.) so i decided to go to this party here, where my good friend @sweetmarie's hubby was DJing. unfortunately, she could not join because she's expecting in a month. i'm not gonna lie, i tried to convince her to attend. my argument was she can sit in the dining area and i would go back and forth between the rooms dancing and having conversations with her in the resto area. but in the end, i lost. it just doesn't make sense for a very pregnant lady to be at a sold out NYE jam. DOH!

in not so many words, here's how 2011 started off with a bang!
  • spent less than $20 to be trashed out of my mind, feel like a superstar, dance my heart out and end the night/morning with a content belly. NYE was the best less than $20 i have ever spent in my life!
  • the oldest guy, the geekiest guy, a swingers couple, a young lesbian couple and then some, all tried to get their groove on with me. the most successful of them all was the young lesbian couple. i counted down the new year with them!
  • i kinda whored myself out so i can eat some french fries. but damn it, i was hungry! and drunk! i didn't eat dinner that night. besides, muscle head was with a girl i knew who was also getting fed the french fries by hand... it was the only way he would let us eat them. he was definitely in heaven especially after feeding us once each lips to lips
  • last minute my debut escort decided to go to the same party. it was great to see him, his gf and other friends there!

and that was my new year's eve. enough said.

LV snapshots

yes i know, it's about time i post about Vegas... but to be honest, ever since i've been back, i've been enjoying being pretty lazy. i've been sleeping a little better, been more relaxed at work, just been chilling, taking things day-by-day. i guess leaving the city and taking a break from real life really does help!

here's my Vegas recap...

here i am with my travel buddy, Jeff
this was our home for the week

here's the view from our window
and another view
enjoyed SEMA where we saw sexy cars
like this one...
this one...
and this one...
even found one with my name all over it!

did the touristy thing...
gallivanted all over
and did some sightseeing
pretended to shop at high-end stores
like this one
but really shopped in here
and shopped at this outlet mall

enjoyed the night life
partied it up with some of my boys

(yes, the scandalous top made an appearance)
met up with some non-tdotters
checked out the Food & Wine Event with Joe
enjoyed the BEST food and drank as much as i can
observed drunk Joe try to change a flat tire on his rental
even checked out the crazy Pacman display in the Nike store
before retruning back to Toronto

Vegas was fun and exactly what i needed. the highlight of my trip would be the Food and Wine All-Star Weekend hosted by Gail Simmons and featured top Chefs. here is why...
  • on the way to the reception Joe and i found dollar bills on the ground.
  • the food was fantastic, amazing and phenomenal! the 1st bite alone was worth every penny.
  • we discovered the best drink EVER, a vodka-lime-cucumber-dill concoction.
  • we both won $300 EACH with the $100 comp gaming chip that came with our ticket.
  • the ticket was only $125. therefore our tickets were free and we were paid to attend this fantastic event!
the 2nd highlight of my trip was discovering tokyo teas! too bad this cocktail is not available in Canada. actually, it's probably for the better... tokyo teas are dangerous!

CHEERS TO VEGAS!
