mission accomplished!
I've been on a mission - TO NOT BE HERE for my birthday.
As I get older, birthdays aren't the same anymore. For the past few years, I haven't been in the mood to celebrate. Each birthday I tend to assess my life. I don't do this on purpose, it's just a natural thing to do since it's the day I grow older.
And turning (OMG!) 33 this year is pretty sad. I have no full-time job, no husband and therefore no children (I'm so far from having a bf), no home owner status and I'm just plain old. Here I am turning 33 and basically at the same position I was when I graduated high school - I graduated 15 years ago! Bottom line is it's 15 years later and I've had no progression in life.
So to balance my pathetic life with some happiness, I didn't want to be here for July. This way when the 10th hits, I can say "Boo, I have no job, no bf/hubby, no house but hey, at least I'm traveling and exploring the riches of a different city."
My MISSION is ACCOMPLISHED! I'll be in Cali from July 2nd to 12th and Vegas July 26th to August 2nd. So now when I remember the things I don't have in life, I simply remember my travel plans and I can't help but smile.

Wine to Raise Spirits
Today, Toronto Yelp Elites had the opportunity to snag a pair of limited tickets to the Wine and Spirit Festival which is happening next weekend at the Distillery District. And lucky me! I scored a pair. YAY!
So sweetmre is going to be my pseudo date as I drown my sorrows next Saturday. Hopefully, the weather will be kick-a$$ too! Enjoying food and wine outside in nice weather is exactly what I need!
Being Yelp's Elite is already paying off. Thanks Yelp for hookin us up!!!

Eliteness!
Apparently I have what it takes to rock the cradle of Yelp Eliteness. The Yelp Toronto Community Manager sent me a message last week saying so. Even though I'd rather have her job (she probably doesn't know I was a candidate for her position. She beat me in the last round), I was still flattered that she approached me.
And yesterday, in my Yelp inbox came an "the" invitation. Being part of the Yelp Elite squad means, I'll get hooked up to exclusive parties and cool stuff. Who doesn't like getting hooked up?
So I accepted their offer. And now I have a '09 red elite badge on my profile. Check it out when you get a sec http://mohka.yelp.ca. You'll see my suggestions and opinions on local businesses plus you'll be updated on what's hot and happening around GTA or any other city you're interested in learning more about.

overboard!
Wow, I'm must be boring you all with my blog because all I pretty much write about is Mr.Guy. I swear this is the last time, I will write about him.
All I have to say is, he's excessively trying to contact me. I'm (VERY) shocked in his behaviour.
Hmmmmm... I guess my sh!t, really IS that good! LOL!

he better come correct
Mr.Guy won't quit. Yesterday after numerous texts and phone calls, I caved and responded via text then after a few more texts, I finally called him.
To make a long story short, I verbally ended it over the phone and told him "no we can not even be friends." After we hung up, there was no mistaking that the Mr.Guy era has indeed ended.
So I thought...
Later on that night. He sent another text. Then another early this morning. Another in the afternoon... then a couple of phone calls and then an email.
I responded to his email and asked him (again) to respect my decision.
Let's just say I don't think he was paying attention to our conversation yesterday and from his continuous actions tonight, he didn't read my email properly.

they call me HELL!
Mr.Guy text me this morning apologizing and (finally) agreed with me about the sunglasses issue.
DUH! Where the heck has he been during this lifetime?
By the way, it took him 2 weeks to get in contact with me...
What is he thinking? That I sit around waiting for him to contact me? And this is how he ends the text "I hope you don't stay mad".
Dude, yes. I AM still mad.
In the past 2 weeks without him, I've reacquainted myself with people. I got picked up. Plus I hung out with one of those reacquainted friends. What's ironic is, we were outside on a patio and this guy I haven't seen for around a year took off his sunglasses to make eye contact then apologized prior to putting them back on because the sun was beaming directly in his eyes. I applaud him for being able to keep them off for half an hour.
In this circumstance, I WOULD expect someone to wear their sunglasses. We were hanging out on a patio on an extremely sunny day. Yet, this guy I barely knew took them off to be polite. Mr.Guy can learn a thing or two from my patio friend who is 9 years younger than him.
This confirms the sunglasses issue is NOT an age thing. It's common sense!
