fill in the blank friday!

hellz yea it's Friday! another long ass week is coming to an end. Friday always gives me the feeling of relief, relief that the work week is finally over! thank goodness.

let's start the day off with filling in some of Lauren's blanks. you too can participate. don't forget to link your entry at the end so others can check you out!

1.   The last thing I ate was  siopao. yes, you are correct. i am not speaking English. LOL! siopao are these steamed doughy buns with a meat filling in them. my mom specifically made mini versions for me. 

2.  The next thing I'd like to eat is   a hot beverage from Starbucks. i know i can't eat the drink, but Starbucks is my preferred breakfast on a work day. 

3.  The best things  are those things that make you happy. currently for me, those are body jam (dance inspired hard-core cardio workout), great music, sangria especially the "pink sangria" at the bar by my office (cactus fruit, lycee, white wine, fresh strawberries and grapes) and of course BEER! 

4.  Something that makes me supremely and utterly happy is   being at the perfect state of drunkiness where i have a perma-smile on my face all-night-long. 

5.  Sports are   entertaining to watch, but is something i don't do physically myself. however, i really do enjoy watching sports especially basketball and hockey playoffs. 

6.  I miss  "eye candy"! "eye candy" is my latest crush at work. i haven't run into him for the last couple of weeks. he makes my work day so much better when i see him.  

7.  Right now I am   stalling getting ready for work, but now that i've completed these blanks, i can get back to my regular scheduled Friday work day.

we all got 'em, those quirks that make us, us. but it's all good. it's what makes each of us unique.

it all started with Kat's post. she wanted to warn inform us about her. then Leesh thought it was a great idea we follow in Kat's lead to make us aware of what we're up for during our blogger meet-up. makes sense. traveling with a new group, especially all-girls can be quite the fiasco. Leesh was next to lay it all out and then Reni's post popped up.

in order to appropriately write this entry, i completed some research by asking a couple of gfs from my last all-girls Vegas trip, their thoughts on my quirkiness to ensure i captured everything. hehehe.

so here it goes...

i'm a ball full of energy! no food or sleep is required to keep me at full pace. all i really need is water once in a while and i'm good to go. but just because i'm like this, I DO NOT EXPECT anyone else to be. if you want to eat, let's eat! if you want to leave, let's go! if you want to stay, i'm up for staying! want to nap? i'm all for it! if i fail to do so, i'm very capable of entertaining myself. it's just plain rude to be noisy in the room while someone else is asleep. there's a strip full of casinos down there. i'm sure i can think of something to keep myself occupied. duh.

i need space! granted, i'm little and don't physically need a lot of space, but that doesn't mean i enjoy it when people are inconsiderate about others around them. therefore, i box out when i'm drunk. which means, I WILL BOX YOU OUT if you stupidly keep bumping into me. the drunker i am, the harder i will elbow you and shove backwards into you. your size is no factor to me.

i talk in my sleep. you may mistaken this as me trying to have a conversation with you in the middle of the night. i suggest you don't try to respond as others have in the past. you'll quickly learn, i'm not talking to you.

i'm a moaner! this is a recent discovery. apparently when i'm trashed, i have sexy dreams. what sounds do you make when you have sex?! at least my sex sounds are muffled when i'm sleeping drunk. i'm not gonna lie, i'm not much of a screamer anyway.

the tv sings me a lullaby. i prefer to leave the television on as i try to fall asleep. it's comforting for some reason. just so you know, no, it's not on loud and no, it's not on for the whole night.

3 strikes, you're out. if you want to complain that's fine. if you want to complain about the same thing again, i'm still cool with it. if you want to complain about it for the 3rd time and not do anything to change the situation, at this point, i've had it and am tired of hearing about it. i feel no ways in letting you know it's time to move on if you don't decide to take matters in your own hands. your right to complain was taken away the second it got annoying. trust me, you'll thank me for being brutally honest.

despite all of the above, i swear i'm fun to travel with!

so what do you say ladies? do you still want to travel with me? Leeshi, are you sure you don't want to rethink your roommate situation??

the ongoing online debate

dating gets harder with age. trust me, i know.

i'm turning 35 in less than 3 weeks and i have spent most of my teenage, young adult and adult years single. i'm not gonna lie, i don't have problems meeting guys, but finding a guy to date is a different story and finding a guy to be in a relationship with is an even bigger story.

now that i'm getting up there, options are wearing thin and time isn't on my side. this brings me back to the ongoing debate i've been contemplating about for quite some time... should i or shouldn't i join online dating sites?

what other options do i have?

long gone are the days of often painting the town red. i'd rather chill with friends and family at their house, but that makes it difficult to meet any potentials. no offense friends, but i already know all your friends. it's very unlikely i'll be meeting a dating option at your place. 

the only other ways i can think of are:

1. join online dating sites
2. speed dating
3. be more open to dating any Joe-blow off the street?

HELP! please?! 

i want to know what you think! 

should i online date? join several sites? go on many speed dates? focus my energy on my dating life as much as i focus on working out and work? is that even possible? or should i shift most of my efforts towards dating? what should my priorities be???

fill in the blank friday!

this past month has so not been cool! and yesterday, for no apparent reason by mid-afternoon i crashed, burned and dropped down to an ultimate low... didn't want to be around anyone. didn't want to talk to anyone. didn't want to at least crack a fake smile. didn't want anyone to even glance my way. i was feeling torn inside and on the verge of tears just for the hell of it and carried this mood until i fell asleep. but today is a new day and finally i can say it's Friday.

1.   The last movie I saw was  Fast Five. (well it was the last one i saw in the movie theatre.) eye candy, action and humour - what more can a girl want?! so yes, i was pretty pleased with the movie. 

2.  I want to   be happy. pretty simple, but as of late, it's been pretty difficult to attain. 

3.  Surprises are  good intentions? i don't know... i rarely get surprises (if any) so i'm having trouble recalling the feelings associated with a surprise. i think the only time i've been surprised is when someone sneaks up behind me and startles me. wow, that just sounded pathetic. LOL! 

4.  The best accessory is   a fabulous purse! 

5.  My favorite warm drink is  well lately it's been a 1/2 sweet skinny lactose-free caramel macchiato.  yes, i'm a Starbucks groupie! i think i'm going to treat myself to this drink this morning!  

6.  My favorite cold drink is  BEER! 

7.  Currently loving   the sun and the heat. after months and months of anticipation and teasing, the sun and heat have finally decided to stay a little longer than 1 day at a time. the rain still seems to be tdot's very good friend, but at least the sun seems to be fighting for some attention now.

the vegas look!

now that Asian Sensation 2011 is less than a month away, i need to stop slacking and figure out what to wear!! but in all honesty, after reading Reni's post yesterday, i realized i'm not in that bad of shape after all... i actually have a dress (my good friend Marie gave me) that i have only worn once! how fitting i received it for my bday and i'll be rocking it on my (and Reni's) bday weekend. plus one of the 1st thoughts that ran through my head when i opened the gift was "this would be perfect for Vegas!" and there it was, a 2nd night time outfit for our AS2011 trip.

the 1st night outfit was decided back in May when i was able to shop at the mega Forever 21 in Chicago. for a mega F21, it was pretty disappointing. i only bought that 1 dress and a thin braided belt. oh well.

i was originally going post photos of both outfits, but i kinda want to do the reveal of our outfits by the photos we post on our blogs from our trip.

so instead, here's a brief description of both outfits:

1. lightweight (hence why it's almost see-though, but won't be at night time), vibrant pink, spaghetti strapped, ruffled neckline dress from F21
2. sleeveless, satin strapped, but draped over 1 shoulder and across the body, dark grey dress from french connection. (sounds a little confusing and it's just as confusing to put on! but luckily it doesn't look confusing on.)

now i only need 1 more night outfit. and after reading Leesh's post, i think i'm going to take her lead and go with something that shines and sparkles. i often wear bright colours and don't really own LBDs (just figured out LBD = little black dress), but there's not one thing in my closet with sequins or leopard print. this is a girl Vegas trip baby and our outfits should be yelling fun!

Reni's post also made me realize i already own classy hooker heels (some hookers can be classy, right? hehe.) which i purchased in VanCity a while back that have yet to wear. even though i'm vertically challenged, those will be the only hooker heels i'm bringing. unfortunately, my poor little feet can't handle the height.

but i still need more (reasonably height) heels!

PLUS i also need accessories! i am no fashion diva in any means, but accessories is where i suck the most! but thanks to Kat's post, she has given me some ideas but i definitely need more.

so if you're will to share what you would wear to Vegas, please let me know! or if you know me personally - what do you think would look good on me? i need ideas! time is running out and my shopping days are scarce since all i do is live in the office...

this past Saturday was a pretty big day for me personally. i deleted the last of my exes' phone numbers off my mobile. the one i hate (26er) and the one i still love (the dude).

i'm not lying. i HATE 26er. how can i be such a bad judge of character?! after Saturday, i have realized he is truly delusional and not a good person. sorry, but i won't be revealing any details of what recently went down because it gets me furious and upset. just know i regret every minute i have spent with him and every minute i am forced to. i don't think i've ever hated an ex before. dislike yes. HATE no.

now why the eff do i still love the dude??! not cool, heart! not cool at all!

i'm so hating my job that i love! how is upper management working on an 18 month calendar?? hmmmm... oh wait a second, that's right, there's only 12 months in a year! idiots! they're currently running our promotions as though it's a pig pen. WHAT THE F*CK GUYS, get your effing act together quick! time is of the essence and we simply don't have time!

the other night, some random stranger on fbook messaged me to tell me i'm cute. his relationship status on fbook is "married". are you effing kidding me??! i hate guys like that! BOOOOOOOOOO!

i love Vancouver and my many friends who reside in the beautiful city. in support of my second home, i'm a Canucks fan but seriously Canucks, what the eff was up with game #3??! i hate how you let the Bruins molest you!

i love my friends, but hate how every day is a day closer to what brings us further apart. i'm slowly realizing we no longer have much in common and we won't be gaining common ground any time soon...

that vegas feeling!

i'm not gonna lie, life's been pretty difficult lately. and with that, i'm on a mission to turn my frown upside down and absorb my life with all things happy! WOOT WOOT!

first happy thought that comes to mind is VEGAS BABY! if you often visit my blog then you know Vegas is almost around the corner, 37 days away from today to be exact.

this Vegas trip is a blogger travel meet up, an epic 35th birthday celebration for 2 of us and a let loose kind of trip! the group of us are better known for our self-proclaimed name - ASIAN SENSATION!

not only do we have a banner, Leesh also created a AS2011 LV cd to hype us and get us into the sin city mood! mission accomplished Leesh! i'm so loving the compilation and can't stop listening to it.

music compilations bring me back to the day in high school when i used create cds for my friends and as an added bonus i would list the songs on the jacket to tell a story by adding my own words and bolding the song titles.
